JOÃO PEDRO SERÔDIO
João Pedro Alves de Guimarães Serôdio was born 1963, in Oporto. He graduated in Architecture from Faculty of Architecture, University of Oporto in 1991. He was a trainee in Herzog & de Meuron's offices in Basel, Switzerland and has dad is own office in Oporto since 1992.
S.Paulo's Biennial, Brazil, selected by Eduardo Souto de Moura; Venice's Biennial, Italy, 2002 and 2004, in representation of Portugal;
He has been teaching for the module Project IV in Faculty de Architecture, University of Oporto since 2002. He is Guest Teacher since 2011.
He graduated in Architecture from Faculty of Architecture, University of Oporto em 1991. He was a trainee in Herzog & de Meuron's office in Basel, Switzerland and has is own office in Oporto since 1992 with Isabel Furtado producing all the projects in partnership.
He was elected President of the Northern Region Section of the Portuguese Order of Architects for the term 2004 to 2007
He was assistant teacher for the module Project IV in Lusíada University of Oporto between 1997 and 2002. He was guest assistant for de module Project IV in Faculty of Architecture, University of Oporto between 2002 and 2006. He is assistant teacher for the module Project IV in Faculty of Architecture, University of Oporto since 2006 and guest teacher for de module Project IV in Faculty of Architecture, University of Oporto since 2011.
He was selected, with Isabel Furtado, to produce and participate in several publications, conferences and exhibitions: deSingel International Kunstcentrum exhibition in Antwerp, Belgium; S.Paulo's Biennial, Brazil, selected by Eduardo Souto de Moura; Venice's Biennial, Italy, 2002 and 2004, in representation of Portugal;

2011 - Villégiature Award 2011 Best Hotel Architecture in Europe – Refurbishment and Enlargement of Hotel Douro 41, in Quinta das Fontainhas, Castelo de Paiva, Portugal;
2010 - 2nd Prize in the Competition for Urban Land Division Project and Urban Development Works in Nun´Álvares Avenue, Oporto, co-authorship with Nuno Brandão Costa and Carlos Prata;
2009 - 1st Prize competition for I3S – Institute of Health Research and Investigation, University of Porto;
2009 - 2nd Prize in the Competition for the Renewall of Chaves Movie Theatre and Creation of Multi Purpose Center;
2002 – 2nd Prize in the competition for the Abel Salazar Biomedical Science Institute, Porto;
2002 - 1st Prize in the Competition for the University of Coimbra for Institute for Nuclear Sciences Applied to Health, Coimbra, Portugal;
2001 - 1st Prize in the Compettion for the Teaching Sub-unit 3 at the Faculty of Health, University of Coimbra, Portugal;
